BOA VISTA ISLAND

Do you think it is possible to enjoy high quality accommodation and wild undisturbed ecosystems? Yes, Boa Vista is that rare place where pristine nature combines with the most comfortable tourist room offer, a place where the unpolluted night sky makes you feel the most special dot in the universe.

Boa Vista offers excellent opportunities to observe an interesting variety of birdlife: more than 20 different species of birds breed on the island. It is therefore worth visiting the brackish or saltwater marshy areas along the coast or the freshwater marshy areas inland, where generally 20 to 25 different species can be encountered.

The waters of Boa Vista are also the preferred nursery for the humpback whale, when they come in spring to give birth. The sight of these calm and gentle giants reminds us of the need to protect the oceans and their valuable life.
Be witness, at Ervatao beach, of the magic sight of the sea turtles laying eggs and baby turtles hatching and running to the sea, an unforgettable experience that will remind you of the wonders we must conserve and respect.

A walk on the Viana desert, around the magic Oasis of Fonte Vicente, a visit to Varandinha caves or a swim in the turquoise waters of St. Mónica beach will make your stay in Boavista a special and unique nature re-connecting experience. And to complete an exciting day, go star gazing to the desert, where a sky impossible to be seen in our cities will leave you speechless and amazed.

CABO VERDE

The Cape Verde archipelago was uninhabited until the 15th century, when Italian and  Portuguese explorers discovered and colonised the islands, thus establishing the very first European settlement in the tropics.

The archipelago, formed by ten islands approximately 40–50 million years ago during the Eocene era, has an interesting and agitated history, from an important place in the slave trade to a central commercial center during the 19th century, due to its mid-atlantic position, an ideal location for re-supplying ships.

After its independence from Portugal, led by Amilcar Cabral, in 1975, Cape Vert, with its Constitution approved in 1980, enjoys a stable democracy.
